The suite we booked was spacious, to say the least. Beautiful wooden floors and stunning wooden beamed ceilings. The bed was ginormous. But incredibly comfortable. The TV was the width of the bed and it has plenty of movies and shows on it to watch. Complimentary mini-bar. Yes please! I thought it was a trick but nope. Complimentary. And refilled after each day. Great location too. Nagano Station only 10 mins away or 20 mins walk. Plenty of bars and restaurants. Not as many tourists, which was nice, and you got to practice your broken Japanese a bit more here.

Breakfast and dinner (when I chose to dine in) was very good. I had a room with a view and appreciated the fact that I could open the windows to let in fresh air. While good service is expected in Japan, nevertheless I thought the staff at reception exceptionally considerate and attentive.

The staff were like big hotel trained people. You can tell right away without knowing, it is a historical and special hotel. They gave us grade up room may be because of off season. Breakfast "restaurant" and présentation (Japanese breakfast) was so beautiful. Glad chose breakfast stay.

Junnon

The hotel was very pretty, location is very good - near to many restaurants cafes and the Zenkoji. Rooms are very spacious in Japanese standards. Breakfast was delicious and the staff so friendly and helpful. Toiletries in the bathroom are top grade too

Foong

The breakfast was delicious, I chose the Japanese style breakfast. The dining area had a beautiful garden. The room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The checkout was at 12 PM which gave us enough time to relax in the morning.
